What do Americans think about Canada, and what do Canadians think of America?

I'm American, but have lived in Canada for a year- I love Canada, and find Canadians to be super people. After 911 the people of Nova Scotia opened thier homes to the scores of America fliers diiverted to canada right after the attacks on 911. Think Americans would ever open thier homes to displaced Canadians? Not a chance....canada is my favorite place...
