Pending felony trial and probably going to lose job, what can I do for work in the meantime?

I was recently charged with a felony and pending trial. It's a serious charge, but I'm innocent and optimistic I'll get acquitted. I'm a salaried professional for a large utility company so it's pretty much a guarantee that I'll lose my job soon (I think the best option is just to come forward with it so maybe they'll give me the option of resignation or suspension). Anyway...it could be 5-7 months before this whole thing is over with and I need to make some kind of money in the meantime. What can I do?
