Do you think that people might be more receptive to the gay community if they weren't afraid of backlash?

People would be more receptive of the gay community if we did away with religion.....But we have to have something to keep people "morally correct". So Im not sure thats the right answer either cause we would have a bunch more people running arround commting crimes. The only backlash someone straight gets for being receptive to the gay community is embaressment from being receptive to gay people. Not all but a lot of people do care what others think. But if we can get the bible pushers to quit preaching hate for the GLBT, more people could be more accepting to the GLBT.
